Throughout December, Sussex Safer Roads Partnership ran an 'Under The Influence Campaign' focusing on improving the awareness surrounding the impact of driving under the influence in the lead-up to Christmas. Working with Partners to amplify the messaging, our aim for the campaign was to educate and change road users' attitudes around road safety during this festive period, and the importance of staying safe, sober and alert on the roads.
Read MoreSussex Safer Roads Partnership (SSRP) joined Community Speedwatch (CSW) volunteers in Uckfield to target local speeding concerns with support from Roads Policing Unit (RPU) and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) for an afternoon full of activity. SSRP attended, with the engagement vehicle, housing all supporting literature and resources to educate drivers about the consequences of driving at unsafe speed. An RPU Officer was there to intersect those over the limit speed, supporting the data collection of the volunteers.

Safe Drive Stay Alive, is a live theatre-based education production that aims to raise road safety awareness amongst young people and to positively influence their attitudes to driving and as passengers. Young drivers are much more likely to be involved in a crash on the roads, often due to inexperience and a lack of knowledge of the risks.
