Certificate of Long Service Presentation – DECEMBER 2022

Community Speedwatch Volunteers play an essential part in the Sussex Safer Roads Partnerships drive to reduce KSI (Killed and Seriously Injured) on the roads of Sussex, in the last twelve months volunteers have carried out 11,438 hours at the roadside, in particular, we have a number of Volunteers who have completed over 10 years’ service. In Hastings John Punter from the Hastings and Westfield Group has been awarded a Long Service Certificate for his commitment and work with the Group. The Award took place at Hastings Police Station on Bohemia Road on Friday 2nd December 2022, the certificate was presented by the Local Neighbourhood Policing Chief Inspector Jay Mendis-Gunasekera, Inspector Aidan Cornwall, and Steve O’Connell from Sussex Safer Roads Partnership in Shoreham.

The coordinator of the group, Bob Kenward, said: “John is a fantastic asset to the Group and we couldn’t have done this work without his expertise” Bob also made a presentation of Flowers to John’s wife who was also present at the Ceremony.
