Community Speedwatch: Covid-19 update
Posted on Tuesday 24th March 2020 in All Road Users, Cyclists, Drivers, Education and Training, Motorcyclists, Pedestrians
This page will be updated as further guidelines are provided.
Following on from recent updates from the Government surrounding the risk of Covid-19, please find below information and guidance relating to the continuation of Community Speedwatch Groups.
Sussex Safer Roads Partnership will authorise the reintroduction of Community Speedwatch activity from Monday 15th June 2020.
However, it is imperative that Sussex Safer Roads Partnership reminds individuals and groups of their responsibility to follow regulations around social distancing, and continue to shield or self-isolate if necessary.
Community Speedwatch continues to be a voluntary scheme, and we must remind volunteers of their obligation to adhere to Government guidelines:
- Keep group numbers to a minimum;
- Wipe down equipment after use;
- Maintain a 2m distance from one another.
We will continue to review and monitor the ongoing situation; please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
Should you have any questions, please contact Sussex Safer Roads Partnership via the Contact Us page.
You can keep up to date with activities by following @SussexSRP, @CommunitySpeedw and on Facebook at Sussex Safer Roads.
