Sussex Safer Roads Partnership are supporting the 2023 Project EDWARD (Every Day Without A Road Death) week of action, which takes place between 15-19 May. This year’s theme is ‘Safer Mobility, Everyone’s Responsibility’.

Project EDWARD, began in 2016 and has since been growing from strength to strength with the support of its partners to help showcase some of the best practices to reduce these numbers.

Project EDWARD is an immense commitment in terms of time and resources. Last year, more than 200 groups initiated events across the UK during the week of action to engage with the public and influential leaders on the subject of safer, more sustainable mobility. The Project EDWARD team was able to visit many of these events and use its highly effective communications platform to promote good practices across different media platforms.

Each day throughout the week of action sees a new theme; ensure to give us a follow on Sussex Safer Roads Partnership’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages to keep updated. All our posts will contain the #ProjectEDWARD hashtag and are easily found by searching the hashtag or visiting our feeds.

This year’s daily themes are:
• Day 1: Safe Roads
• Day 2: Safe Vehicles
• Day 3: Safe Speeds
• Day 4: Safe Road Users
• Day 5: Post-Crash Response

Sussex Safer Roads Partnership has a week of engagements organised with the support of Partners, so we hope to see you across Sussex throughout the week.
