In a recent prize draw facilitated by SSRP, IAM Roadsmart presented a Sussex driver with an Advanced Driver Course.

The driver in question, Mr David Everest, had attended the Brighton and Hove Motorshow and taken part in a survey with SSRP. He was subsequently entered into a draw, the prize of which was generously donated by IAM Roadsmart.

The DVSA-accredited Advanced Driver Course looks to improve skills and knowledge, boost your confidence on the road, give you greater awareness of other road users, and increase your anticipation of hazards. It may even result in cheaper car insurance, and opportunities to make better progress in your journey.

On completion and passing of the course, Mr Everest will also automatically become a member of IAM Roadsmart.

Upon being presented with his prize, Mr Everest said “I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to take part in this. I have been driving for 31 years, but you are never too good to continue learning.”

Mr Paul Woozley, Head of Membership at IAM Roadsmart, presented the prize, stating “This is a major contribution to road safety. We are delighted to support the SSRP at the Brighton and Hove Motorshow, and even more delighted that David has an opportunity to become an advanced driver with us”.

Registered charity IAM Roadsmart have been educated drivers and riders in the UK since 1956, when it was first formed. If you are interested in taking part in a course and becoming a member, please do not hesitate to contact them –
